Se comienza desde el Incio

Buenos vamos a comenzar desde los requisitos para poder instalar Laravel:
  • PHP >= 5.6.4
  • OpenSSL PHP Extension
  • PDO PHP Extension
  • Mbstring PHP Extension
  • Tokenizer PHP Extension
  • XML PHP Extension
Vamos a ver la instalación, Laravel tiene 3 formas de instalarse:
Composer es el gestor de dependencias para PHP y el método con el cual vamos a instalarlo.
Pero que son el otros dos, Homestead y Valet?. Pues bien Homestead básicamente te crea un maquina virtual con Vagrant en tu computadora ya configurado con Laravel de tal manera de no tener problemas con permisos, dependencias, pre-requisitos, etc. Valet es dedicado para Mac de tal manera de no usar Vagrant y las mismas cosas anteriormente mencionadas.

Obviamente los requisitos son validos solo cuando vamos a instalarlo con Composer, si escoges cualquiera de los otros 2 no debes preocuparte.

Vamos a la consola, terminal o cmd, esto depende del sistema operativo que usemos.
Escribimos la siguiente linea:
composer create-project laravel/laravel inicio
Con este comando instalamos la ultima version del framework en este caso 5.4, en el caso que queramos instalar una determinada version por ejemplo la version 5.3, debes escribir lo siguiente:
composer create-project --prefer-dist laravel/laravel inicio 5.3
A continuacion veremos un log de instalacion que nos dira que esta haciendo, como por ejemplo:

Tu puedes ver otro log, pero lo importante es la linea final.

Esta linea podemos ver la Application Key que sirve para la encriptación de las sesiones de los usuarios y mas información de nuestra aplicacion. En el caso que no se genere podemos usar un comando de artisan:
php artisan key:generate
Ya hemos instalado Laravel y ahora que? Pues bien, vamos a ver ejecutar el siguiente comando
php artisan serve
Con este comando iniciamos un servidor de desarrollo en nuestra computadora, ahora podemos acceder a la aplicación http://localhost:8000 en nuestro navegador, en mi caso Chromium.


Con esto hemos instalado Laravel correctamente.
